We have opportunities within our CAS service for advanced nurse practitioners who can independently prescribe, as well as for general practitioners who may be looking to build portfolio careers.
In each case, you’ll work autonomously within your sphere of competency – and as part of a friendly and close-knit multi-skilled team that also includes registered nurses, UCPs, mental health and dental nurses, prescribing pharmacists and pharmacy advisors.
Joining CAS as an advanced nurse practitioner or general practitioner means providing assessment/diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals by phone – and via use of our electronic prescribing system. It’s a great chance to develop all your skills and experience in a uniquely well-structured, supportive clinical environment. You’ll also be able to keep your skills up to date with our continued professional development (CPD) programme – and can expect education and training tailored to your needs and future plans

“During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours element. With no administrative tasks, bloods to file or documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. The work itself was enjoyable and rewarding, both professionally and monetarily, and the working environment was safe and supportive.”
