Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2025

At Practice Plus IUC, we are committed to nurturing talent and giving our people the chance to build their career.  This National Apprenticeship Weeks, we shine a light on one of our incredible apprentices.

Luke Craker – Urgent Care Practitioner, Devon Out-of-Hours

With a background as a paramedic, Luke took on an apprenticeship to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). Supported by the Out-of-Hours (OOH) team at Practice Plus IUC, he balances his studies, work, and family life, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. He says:

“The best part of an apprenticeship is learning on the job while maintaining a work-life balance. I have a dedicated mentor, protected study time, and financial support. The experience has been invaluable, giving me real-world patient interactions and broadening my clinical skills. If you’re looking to advance your career in urgent care, Practice Plus Group is the place to be.”
